Parenting and More Hofstede’s concepts

Hello my dear amigo(a), How are you? We are in the last weeks of the exchange which makes me very sad, even though I’m staying another semester it’s sad to say goodbye to this amazing group, the next group won’t feel the same :( Okay… let’s talk about the last class; we discussed about parenting and Hofstede’s Indulgence and restrained societies. First I’ll talk about parenting, we discussed about many topics, firstable was what time do little kids should go to sleep and actually most of us agreed on the time (9pm) even the japanese students agreed, I think it’s a good time to sleep, specially because in Mexico school is so early, it starts at 7am the first class so we have to sleep early in order to arrive on time with breakfast and shower. Romantic life and Long-term vs Short Term Orientation

Hello mi amigoooo, How are you today? I hope your last month in Japan treats you well (please don’t be sad) In the last class we discussed about really interesting topics, in this case it was Romantic life and Long-term vs Short Term Orientation. About Romantic life is definitely different from Mexico, because in Japan I’ve noticed too much discretion and public displays of affection avoided, even holding hands is not often seen while in Mexico things are completely different, for example we don’t avoid PDA, of course there are limits because public nudity is crime, but things like hugs, kisses are completely normal from young to old people, we don’t really mind and I think it’s something good, when dating people in Mexico are often really direct with their intentions, when we are dating we both know we like each other, we are just waiting to see if they’re the right person, while in Japan it seems very traditional and done by steps, like first 2 or 3 dates it’s like just hanging out a...

Asking a favor, Differences across the world

  Asking a favor, Differences across the world. Hey amigos, s’all goodman? I hope you’re doing well and have so many plans on the last weeks! I want to know about it :) Last week we discussed an interesting topic, asking favors, manners, things to consider, who, etc I thought there were not going to be a lot of differences but it turned out to be a surprise, so many people don’t like to ask favors to their family which is very surprising, maybe some people do not trust their family that much. Also some friends don’t like to ask favors to teachers or professionals which I found strange, I think asking help to professionals it’s always the safest and sometimes the best option, professionals are here to help us, I know it’s not good for the pride sometimes but it’s always helpful.
