Masculinity vs Femininity
Hello, the weather today was absolutely horrible, even if I like sunny days like in Mexico, this was too much, the sun was burning my skin along with the humidity is not a good experience to be honest, people don’t believe when I say this hotter than in central Mexico.
Last class we discussed about many topics, like manners and behavior in convinience stores, about this topic it was very interesting to see the differences with my country, because mexican people are so friendly but in this case for some reason we are not very friendly, when you enter to a store the staff doesn’t say “ いらっしゃいませ “ most of the times, it’s just silent, normally we say good morning/afternoon/night when we approach the cashier, but also sometimes we don’t even greet because i don’t know, the staff or we (or both) are not on the mood to greet. Also another thing that really surprised me is that Japan is a very advanced country, but for some reason they still use A LOT of plastic bags for an insignificant price and of course they pack your things properly, in Mexico the plastic bags were banned like 7 years ago or more and the only way to buy a bag it’s a reusable one for 1-2USD and you pack your things.
About Masculinity vs Femininity, to be honest I prefer the traditional roles, of course I like and I support women empowerment and same opportunities, but I was raised to provide and take care of my family while the woman plays a more supportive and caring role, I know many girls that want to work and provide for themselves and also I know many girls that want to be a housewife, both choices should be respected and taken with pride. Luckily now a days men and women can choose.
That’s it! I’m looking forward to listen to your opinions…

I personally am ok with either a traditional model or non traditional but it seems in today’s economy it is getting harder for only one paycheck to support a family so I feel like that might be a reason why traditional models are harder to do now than ever before.
