Asking a favor, Differences across the world

Asking a favor, Differences across the world.

Hey amigos, s’all goodman? I hope you’re doing well and have so many plans on the last weeks! I want to know about it :)

Last week we discussed an interesting topic, asking favors, manners, things to consider, who, etc

I thought there were not going to be a lot of differences but it turned out to be a surprise, so many people don’t like to ask favors to their family which is very surprising, maybe some people do not trust their family that much.

Also some friends don’t like to ask favors to teachers or professionals which I found strange, I think asking help to professionals it’s always the safest and sometimes the best option, professionals are here to help us, I know it’s not good for the pride sometimes but it’s always helpful.

Something funny or maybe shameful for me is that is very common to ask for money (of course I pay as quick as I can) because in Mexico it is a common thing, as I said last class, 2.5 dollars is the average price to get a sandwich and a soda haha, but most friends say they don’t like to ask for money which leaves me in a bad postition, but still it’s all a matter of trust and gain the trust.

Anyways I think in average we had some agreements and interesting new perspectives, maybe in Mexico is really common to ask for favors to anyone, not even friends, so if you go to Mexico maybe think twice about when you say Yes and to Who you say yes…

  1. Thank you for your insights! I agree to asking for favors from your family, I do this most of the time! Also, regarding asking for money, I do this all the time with my friends. The one time I will pay for them, and they will pay for them the other time.
